Innovators and Inventors - Richard Pearse

In our reading group, our learning has focussed on New Zealand innovators and inventors.

I chose to learn about Richard Pearse, who was arguably the first person in the world to invent a machine that could fly.

Term 1, Week 6

Another busy week of learning in Rimu Learning Hub at Ormond School.

Miss Humphreys and Miss Hyland have been on full control and have been running the class with support from Mrs Thompson and Mrs Parsons.

Brooke, Mekah, Angus, Matthew L, Matthew M, Cole, Luke, Charlie K and Libby represented Ormond School at the Interschool Swimming Sports at Enterprise Pool. They all showed confidence, determination and perseverance and we are so proud of how well they all swam! Ka mau te wehi!

Congratulations also to Luke for reaching the finals and placing 2nd in freestyle, 3rd in backstroke and 1st in breaststroke - a fantastic achievement!
